IRC [11:02] <Dossy> ...
IRC [11:02] <Dossy> morning everyone
IRC [11:02] <jhavard> morning dossy
IRC [11:03] <jhavard> found a nice ssh client for my ipaq
IRC [11:04] <jhavard> also, aim foR pocket pc @ aim.com: 19.95 @aim.co.uk : FREE
IRC [11:04] <Dossy> cool
IRC [11:04] <jcollins> hey dossy
IRC [11:04] <Dossy> hi jcollins
IRC [11:05] <jhavard> All praise google
IRC [11:05] <Dossy> hehe
IRC [11:05] * jhavard goes to work
IRC [11:08] <Dossy> heh
IRC [11:10] <Dossy> So, any burning issues for AOLserver this week?
IRC [11:10] <Dossy> Anyone want to work on the new nsauth module? :-)
IRC [11:11] <jcollins> nsauth huh?
IRC [11:11] <Dossy> well, "nsperm" is just such a bad name.
IRC [11:11] <Dossy> Can't help but laugh every time I hear someone say "en-sperm."
IRC [11:12] <jcollins> haha
IRC [11:12] <jcollins> we have an nsauth module here
IRC [11:12] <jcollins> but it's different then what you are going to write
IRC [11:13] <jcollins> it implements auth similar to /etc/hosts.allow
IRC [11:14] <jcollins> but using URLs
IRC [11:14] <Dossy> Why is that so different ... :)
IRC [11:15] <Dossy> I also keep thinking of implementing an .htaccess-like functionality, too ...
IRC [11:17] <jcollins> eh, maybe its not different. not really sure what you are going for in your nsauth module
IRC [11:17] <Dossy> Essentially a replacement for nsperm.
IRC [11:17] <Dossy> But one that works, and for the AM.net folks, bring back the ns_user and ns_group stuff.
IRC [11:18] <Dossy> Default user/group databases live in flat files, but I'd like to have callbacks that could pull from a RDBMS, or LDAP, etc.
IRC [11:18] <Dossy> Folks would just have to write the callbacks.
IRC [11:18] <jcollins> that'd be really coold
IRC [11:18] <Dossy> yeah.
IRC [11:18] <Dossy> I'm thinkins nsauth and nsssession ought to leverage each other, too.
IRC [12:02] <Dossy> ...
IRC [12:03] <jcollins> yeah exactly
IRC [12:11] *** frankie parted the chat.
IRC [12:17] *** rubick joined the chat.
IRC [12:42] <Dossy> Anyone have specific requests for stuff that needs to get fixed for the 4.0.9 release?
IRC [12:54] <jcollins> I'd really like my ADP parser patch in it but that is not a big deal.
IRC [13:29] <Dossy> which is that again?
IRC [13:36] <jcollins> http://sourceforge.net/tracker/index.php?func=detail&aid=1030577&group_id=3152&atid=353152
IRC [13:38] <Dossy> ah, yes ...
IRC [13:46] <Dossy> OK, just mailed Jim about his change
IRC [13:47] <Dossy> asking him if he did it intentionally or just thought "this way is better"
IRC [13:47] <Dossy> :)
IRC [13:57] <jcollins> k
IRC [14:31] <Dossy> yay.
