IRC [16:31] <koaps> any1 here?
IRC [16:32] <bartt> What is you q, koaps?
IRC [16:32] <bartt> s/you/your/
IRC [16:33] <koaps> q?
IRC [16:33] <koaps> question?
IRC [16:33] <bartt> q=question
IRC [16:33] <koaps> i'm trying to find some old versions of AOL server
IRC [16:33] <koaps> mainly 3.3 and 2.0
IRC [16:33] <koaps> anyone have them?
IRC [16:33] <bartt> Are they not in CVS?
IRC [16:34] <GizmoBeastLives> http://uptime.openacs.org/aolserver-openacs/
IRC [16:34] <GizmoBeastLives> will get you a version of AOLserver 3.3 that has several patches
IRC [16:34] <GizmoBeastLives> AOLserver wasn't open sourced until version 3.0
IRC [16:35] <koaps> really?
IRC [16:35] <koaps> so I can't get a 2.0?
IRC [16:35] <GizmoBeastLives> not the source, you can maybe get binaries
IRC [16:36] <koaps> humm, for linux?
IRC [16:36] <koaps> i just need it to test
IRC [16:36] <koaps> not going to use it
IRC [16:36] <koaps> for a server
IRC [16:37] <bartt> What is your aim?
IRC [16:37] <koaps> koaps69
IRC [16:37] <koaps> hang on
IRC [16:38] <koaps> k
IRC [16:38] <koaps> its on now
IRC [16:38] <GizmoBeastLives> I think Bart was actually asking what your goal is, not what your AOL IM username is
IRC [16:38] <bartt> No, I meant aim as in goal
IRC [16:38] <koaps> ah
IRC [16:39] <koaps> I need to test for detection so if someone has it they need to upgrade
IRC [16:39] <koaps> I work for a security company
IRC [16:40] <bartt> So you plan to test those versions for vulnerabilities?
IRC [16:40] <koaps> we determine what apps are running with what vulnerabilities so IT staff are aware of what's running on their networks
IRC [16:40] <koaps> not exactly test
IRC [16:40] <koaps> more like map
IRC [16:40] <koaps> map the versions we can detect to the known vulns
IRC [16:40] <GizmoBeastLives> from within AOLserver you can get ns_info version
IRC [16:41] <GizmoBeastLives> that works with AOLserver 2 through 4 I believe
IRC [16:41] <koaps> we have a few methods, one is stack finger printing
IRC [16:41] <koaps> my problem is we have a rule written that is for 2.0
IRC [16:41] <koaps> only
IRC [16:41] <koaps> and I don't have a host to test against
IRC [16:42] <koaps> i have a host with all the other open source ones running
IRC [16:43] <tekbasse> koaps, you might try searching at archive.org
IRC [16:43] <koaps> kwel, thanks, I'll take a peeky, I just don't want to test against actual live servers, that's not a nice thing to do
IRC [16:45] <tekbasse> bbl
IRC [16:45] <GizmoBeastLives> I think I have access to win32 binaries from 2.0 if that's useful
IRC [16:45] <koaps> sure
IRC [16:45] <koaps> I can test on win
IRC [16:52] <GizmoBeastLives> ok, I've put some files up (temporarily) at http://www.jamierasmussen.com/download/ - let me know when you have them
IRC [16:54] <koaps> awesome
IRC [16:54] <GizmoBeastLives> you may have to run these in compatibility mode or something
IRC [16:54] <koaps> ok
IRC [16:54] <koaps> I haven't run it on win yet
IRC [16:54] <koaps> just lin
IRC [17:03] <koaps> ok
IRC [17:03] <koaps> I got them
IRC [17:03] <koaps> thanks
