This supposedly explains the many, many contradictions between the Bible and Mohammed's message in the Koran. I have some questions about that. My first question is, How could anyone conceivably pull that off? The Bible is so complex, it would be a mammoth editing undertaking to try to scrub it to mean something completely different. Let's imagine for a while that it is humanly possible. Based on very early texts (such as the Dead Sea Scrolls), we can be confident that the Hebrew "Old Testament" as we have it now is the same as the one that Jesus read. This implies two things: # These editors had to have attacked the text before Christ. # According to Mohammed Jesus was a true prophet, so surely Jesus would have set the record straight in his preaching. Then along came more liar-editors who scrubbed out the Islamic teachings from Jesus's message, too? Why did the early Christians die as martyrs for their message of Christ as God incarnate? Muslims are expected to believe that two separate (insanely talented) editing crews managed to go through and change all the words of all the law and prophets and of Jesus. For what reason?
